Resolution To Eliminate ERIC As Washington State’s Election Management System

WHEREAS, the ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center) software system has been removed in nine (9) states due to concerns about the system’s integrity and its inappropriate sharing of voters’ personal data, and

WHEREAS, ERIC’s reliance on electronic records poses significant vulnerabilities to cyber threats and data breaches, and

WHEREAS, digital security risks continue to increase and become more sophisticated, and the potential for unauthorized access, manipulation, or destruction of crucial voter registration data heightens, and

WHEREAS, ERIC’s goal is to increase voter registration, yet multiple states using ERIC have found that their voter registration rolls are not clean, and

WHEREAS, Washington Voter Research Project’s data has shown conclusively in numerous Washington counties that Washington’s Voter Registration rolls are unclean, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, to eliminate ERIC from Washington State’s voter management systems.
